Research interests:

I am interested in various aspects of species hybridization. I try to understand how proximate-level mechanisms involved in mate choice, communication and within-sex competition for mates, are reflected in the genetic architecture of animals. My research objects are birds, including the herring gull complex, tits, flycatchers and finches. I am also studying blood parasites and microbiome of birds. I do not avoid faunistics studies and I am passionate about coral reefs.
